Latency measurement in the Memory performance section is vague. It has been said that “Latency is measured when the DRAM is empty and is assumed to be doing no other access.” Would the following scenario be a representative of how this is done? t=0 → DRAM is empty and we request an access t=x → DRAM responds (saying that it was empty?!) Does it make any difference whether it is a read or write?
