In preparation for this class, please make sure you understand the challenges of programming the Cell processor (read the slides about this from Lecture 24/25 on the schedule page). Also, please try to read the main Sequoia paper (http://users.ece.utexas.edu/~merez/sc06_sequoia.pdf) and refresh on Cell if you need to (e.g., http://www.ece.sunysb.edu/~midor/ESE545/Cell_01564346.pdf).
